Born from Personal Experience
Second Bloom Wigs was founded by a breast cancer survivor — a mother of two — who understood firsthand the emotional weight of hair loss.
She could face the hard days. The exhaustion, the fear, the uncertainty — she was strong enough to carry all of it. But the moment her four-year-old daughter looked at her with worry in her eyes, that was the thing she couldn't bear. She didn't want her children to carry her pain. She wanted to show up for school drop-offs, bedtime stories, and ordinary Saturday mornings as Mum — not as someone who was sick.
Putting on a wig for the first time gave her that back. It gave her herself back. It reminded her that life is so much bigger and broader than any hairloss journey can contain.
But beyond the emotional weight, she also experienced the practical frustration — the weeks-long waits for appointments, the limited options, the feeling that getting access to something beautiful shouldn't be this hard.
So she built something better.

"I'm a mum of two. When I lost my hair to chemotherapy, I told myself I could handle it — and honestly, I could. I'm strong. I can fight through hard things.
But then I saw my daughter's face. She was four and a half, and seeing me that sick broke her little heart. That broke mine.
I didn't want my kids to worry about me. I wanted to just be Mum — present, capable, myself. The day I put on my wig was the day I remembered that my life is so much bigger than my chemo journey. I felt like me again.
I started Second Bloom so that every woman going through hair loss could have that moment too. Something real, something beautiful, something that reminds you — you are still you."
